In this edition of The ESI Five, we sit down with Kenneth N. Rashbaum, Principal with Rashbaum Associates, LLC based in New York City. Ken has been a pioneer in the area of eDiscovery and has vast experience in the cross-border data transfer space. As a litigator, trial lawyer and counselor, Ken has been the trusted advisor to multiple health care providers, health plans and multinational corporations on information governance and its compliance with federal, state, and international law, and the interface of electronic information of legal and regulatory liabilities. He has served as partner and Co-Chair of the eDiscovery, Compliance and Data Management Practice Group of AmLaw 100 law firm Sedgwick, Detert, Moran & Arnold, LLP, and founded the Firm’s HIPAA Practice Group. Ken is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. He’s also a marathoner which is pretty awesome.
We are very happy to have Ken in the ESI Five chair to press him on five very important topics! We were also fortunate to have Ken join us for two Academia in Action segments. Head over to that section to discover two articles Ken co-authored that address data preservation and the admissibility of electronic evidence in the context of cross-border eDiscovery.
